What to expect at an interview
From LifePortal Content Wiki
You applied and were called for an interview....you ironed your best shirt and are ready to go....but now what?
- Be prepared. Know something about the job and the company you want to work for.
- You might be interviewed by more than one person. This is not done to intimidate you, so try to relax. Practice deep breathing before you go into the interview room.
Be prepared for some common questions:
- Why do you want to work for this company? (Know something about the company and talk about what appeals to you. Don't overdo it, and be sincere. If you fake it, it will show.
- What do you feel you can bring to this job? (refer to what you know about the job and match it to your skills)
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about a time you had difficulty with a coworker/employer/customer? This kind of question has to be answered unemotionally. Discuss (briefly!) the facts of the situation. Try to show that you could see where the other person was coming from. Discuss how you resolved it, or if it remained unresolvable, what you did.
