Have you been wanting to start eating healthy but feel like it is takes too much time? Do you feel like you can’t because you don’t have access you your own kitchen? Do you feel eating healthy is too expensive? Well, having your own kitchen, more time, and a larger budget does help, but it’s easier than you think.
Tips:
- Don’t be afraid of healthy food.
- Healthy food doesn’t just consist of veggies, there are some really delicious, healthy things out there, but you have to try them
- Don’t feel like your favorite junk foods must be eliminated; they just shouldn’t be diet staples.
- When ordering food out, replace the fries with salad or fruit
- You must eat to stay healthy- 4 to 6 small meals are best
- Watch your portions! Restaurants in this country tend to overload our servings, so be mindful of this.
- If you have a sweet tooth, attempt to replace candy or your other favorite desserts with healthier replacements with low fat popsicles or 'fudgesicles', angel food cake, or low fat cookies.
- If you love salt, replace chips and French fries with light popcorn or baked crackers.
- Replace white breads with whole grain wheat bread
- Try to consume more fruits and veggies. If you don’t like these on there own try pairing them with something like hummus or peanut butter.
