How to Start Service with PG&E

This is really important because most places you move to you will have to start your own gas and electric service with PG&E. If this is your first time moving out no worries it is really easy.

Steps:

1. A week before you move call 1(800) PGE- 5000

2. Arrange a time you are available for them to come to your new place.

3. If the gas service is off an adult needs to be present (over 18)

4. Make sure to call again when you have fully moved out of your old place and want service stopped.

For the appointments for them to come to your place they have 4 hours windows for service so you know what time you will need to be there. There may be a deposit required before starting service. Just make sure to ask when you call.
