Blogs :: Sports changed her Life!

My sister is an all star at Richmond High, she’s been captain of the varsity soccer team since her freshman year. She began playing since the age of 7 and has never stopped since then. Playing soccer for Berkeley’s team league change all of our perspective on the world around us. We traveled around California for tournaments and games, seeing the difference in wealth changed the way we say our hometown Richmond. We got to see beyond our little box and began to compare and contrast different classes. Playing soccer kept my sister occupied and out of trouble for the most part. She even got the chance to go to ENGLAND for FREE. When she came back she told me about the difference in culture, society and people. Now she wants to travel a lot when she gets older. She also started running track and cross-country, the only girl in Richmond high to run. She is a diamond in the rust she found a passion that she holds close to her heart. Besides giving her a new perspective of the world around her, she has a kicking body. People know her for her booty!, and her curves. Sports can also be a great stress reliever the feeling you get after a run is both physically and mentally satisfying.  Sports are great hobbies and they can keep you out of trouble not to mention keep you in shape and feeling good!

I totally agree with Quansanta's comment!

Very valid comments. Good for your sister. The chance to travel around the world and see different cultures and experience the way other people live is a wonderful. Sounds like your sister is a great role model. Perhaps she will inspire more youth to find something they have a passion for!
